This week we will be visiting the Temple of Tolerance.

The Temple of Tolerance, created by Jim Bowsher, is a unique and reflective space located in Wapakoneta, Ohio. It was developed as a refuge for young people dealing with difficult circumstances, including dysfunctional family dynamics. Over nearly two decades, Jim meticulously placed numerous rocks and ornamental features to construct the Temple grounds, creating meandering pathways and peaceful alcoves for rest and meditation. The site embodies Jim’s belief in the inherent goodness of people and serves as a community symbol of tolerance and understanding. The Temple is open year-round and free to the public.
