Join us for a mental break: sip and art with Lynnmarie Landwei-Phillips from the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Lynnmarie will walk you through step by step how to paint a beautiful painting! The supplies you will need are as follows.
- 12 x 12 canvas or any size you want for each class.
- Acrylic Paints: White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue and Green. (if you want to save money only by White and red, yellow, blue. Orange and green can be made.) Tubes of paint from Michaels, Joann or Hobby Lobby are fine or the $.50 bottles of craft acrylic paint will work well.
- Paint brushes – You can get a variety pack for around $5.oo. We will use a ½-1 inch flat brush or sponge for the background. Smaller flat brushes for the petals. You will need one small round brush to paint details. You can also use q-tips if you do not have brushes or want to buy them.
- White glue or Modge Podge for 9/28 only.
